This is a hands-on training designed to provide participants with an in-depth knowledge in data analytics with database, spreadsheet and power Bi.

The certificate in data analytics course is aimed at individuals who wish to develop their understanding of data, and the skills and techniques available for data analytics using real practical examples.

This course is about the collection, transformation, and organization of data in order to draw conclusions and drive informed decision making. The course will prepare individuals to develop logical data models, build visually effective data displays and use sophisticated analytical techniques to glean valuable insights

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participants will:

  1. have proficiency in the acquisition, organization and interpretation of data to make informed business decisions
  2. demonstrate proficiency in the visualization of data to communicate information and patterns that exist in the data and analyze relationships between variables
  3. gain the requisite skills to communicate both in writing and verbally the limitations of data, the methods of acquisition, the interpretation of visualized data, and the results of statistical analysis.
  4. be able to work with SQL Server and Power BI  to manipulate data  and analyze data and create interactive dashboards and reports

Module 1: Microsoft SQL Server (68 hours)
  • Understanding Microsoft SQL Server and its components
  • Creating and managing databases
  • Querying data with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to import and export data
Module 2: Power BI for Data Visualization and Reporting (52 hours)
  • Understanding Power BI and its components
  • Creating and formatting data visualizations
  • Building interactive dashboards
  • Collaborating and sharing data with Power BI
Module 3: Project Work (40 hours)
  • Working on real-life projects to apply the concepts learned throughout the course
  • Developing reports and visualizations using SQL Server and Power BI
  • Working in a team to build a collaborative dashboard
