GI-KACE Holds 2025 Student Forum to Drive Feedback

The Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE) has held its 2025 Student Forum to strengthen collaboration and enhance engagement between the Centre and its students.

The event, themed “Step Up, Speak Out, and Lead the Change,” took place on October 10, 2025, at the GI-KACE Auditorium. It brought together students, faculty members, management, and directors of the Centre for an open dialogue on innovation, feedback, and leadership.

Delivering his address, Ing. Dr. Collins Yeboah-Afari, Director-General of GI-KACE, reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to its students, describing them as the “blood and air” of the institution. He emphasized that the forum was designed to deepen engagement, capture students’ perspectives, and foster innovation. “This forum marks the beginning of a continuous conversation between GI-KACE and its students — one that promotes collaborative engagement, innovation, and leadership,” he stated.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe, Director of Corporate Affairs, expressed optimism that the Student Forum would continuously serve as a regular feature of the Centre’s academic calendar, serving as a platform to strengthen partnerships between management and students.

Mr. Haruna Musah, Acting Director for Studies, acknowledged the critical role students play in the Centre’s success, describing them as its “prime stakeholders.” He reiterated GI-KACE’s commitment to ensuring that even prospective students benefit from the insights shared during such engagements.

Meanwhile, Mr. Frederick Yeboah, Director for Research and Innovation, revealed that the Centre is developing a comprehensive e-learning platform to centralize lecture notes, quizzes, and other study materials. The initiative, he said, aims to create a more integrated, efficient, and user-friendly digital learning environment for students across all GI-KACE centres.

Students who attended the forum commended GI-KACE for maintaining high training standards and urged management to continue upgrading course content to incorporate advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. The 2025 Student Forum marks a significant step in GI-KACE’s ongoing mission to nurture innovation, enhance digital literacy, and empower Ghana’s next generation of ICT leaders.
