The Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE) and Cisco Networking Academy in Nigeria have embarked on a collaborative journey to explore new frontiers in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) partnerships
The purpose of the meeting was to assess the current state of their partnership and strategize on how best to revive and renew their collaborative efforts in developing digital skills to address the increasing demand for skilled ICT professionals in West Africa
In a welcome address, the Acting Director of Studies at GI-KACE, Haruna Musah, expressed his satisfaction regarding the renewed partnership between GI-KACE and the Cisco Networking Academy, Nigeria
According to him, GI-KACE will continue to strengthen its commitment to enhance digital skills development and technological advancement, which will drive innovation and capacity building in the digital sector.







“Our ongoing collaboration with Cisco Networking Academy, Nigeria, is important in equipping the youth of Ghana and beyond with the essential skills demanded by the modern workforce. We are excited about the potential of initiating new, impactful projects that are in alignment with governmental priorities and national development goals,” he said.
The Cisco Country General Manager for Nigeria & Ghana, Abdelaziz Saidu, expressed his strong confidence in future prospects who will have interest in studying the Cisco Course.
" Our long-lasting collaboration with GI-KACE has consistently produced excellent results in developing tech talent. We are eager to explore how we can further align our programs with national digital transformation agendas,” he stated
Imoh Akpan, Cisco Networking Academy Business Development Manager for Nigeria, South Africa, and Ghana, highlighted the critical need for adaptability, indicating that their visit reinforces their commitment to ensuring a collaboration that effectively addresses the growing demands of the West African technology landscape.
“We are actively seeking innovative approaches to empower the upcoming generation of innovators," he indicated.
GI-KACE and the Cisco Networking Academy affirmed their dedication to working closely to advance digital education and innovation to impact societies and the economy of Ghana.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to develop actual plans for the next phase to foster growth in digital education and transform innovation through technology.
