Meet the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations

Samuel Nartey George

Hon Samuel Nartey George was sworn in on February 7, 2025, as the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations (MoCDTI).

Agencies under the ministry include; the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE), Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), National Communications Authority (NCA), Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) and Ghana Domain Name Registry (GDNR), Cybersecurity Authority, Ghana Digital Centres Ltd, Ghana Post Company Ltd, Data Protection Agency and Postal and Courier Services Regulatory Commission.

“We are pleased to announce Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP) as the new Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations. We look forward to his visionary leadership in advancing Ghana’s digital transformation and innovation agenda. Welcome, Honorable Minister,” an official message from MoCDTI’s social media handles stated.

GI-KACE also welcomed the new minister with a brief message: “On behalf of the staff and management of GI-KACE, we extend a warm welcome to Hon. Samuel  Nartey George (MP) as the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.”
