The Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE) is expected to organize its annual FEMITECH Conference this year.
The FEMITECH Conference is an annual conference that brings together women from across the tech industry with diverse backgrounds in ICT to share their stories and experiences and learn about new and emerging trends in the technology space.
Over the years, the conference has brought together several prominent female giants in the ICT space, like Yvonne Nyano – Network Quality and Reporting Manager, MTN; Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann, Dean of the School of Engineering Sciences, University of Ghana; Ing. Dr. Lucy Agyepong – Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Academic City University College; and Thabisile Phumo – Executive Vice President for Stakeholder Relations at Sibanye-Stillwater – South Africa, among others.
“The FEMITECH Conference is in its third year, and we look forward to organizing a bigger and more spectacular event that will continue to encourage women and girls to pick up careers in ICT,” Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe, Director of Corporate Affairs at GI-KACE, stated.
This conference for the past two years has brought together over two thousand women to change the narrative of how women are underrepresented when it comes to ICT and shorten the gap to help push more females into IT careers.
