Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe Awarded Public Sector Communication Personality of The Year

The Africa Public Sector Leadership Conference and Awards (APSLCA 2024), held on Friday, March 22, 2024, awarded Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe, Director for Corporate Affairs at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE), as the Public Sector Communication Personality of the Year.

The focus of the event was to bring together esteemed figures from the public and private sectors across Africa, under the theme “Innovative Sustainable Public Sector Leadership: A Tribute to ESG Investments, Sustainable Business Models, and Public-Private Partnerships.”

The event served as a platform to honour the exemplary individuals who have shown remarkable leadership and creativity in their various sectors, providing a forum for important conversations on sustainable leadership and the role of the green economy in promoting national development.

Among the distinguished recipients was Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan Bekoe (MCIPR), recognized as the Public Sector Communication Personality of the Year who has been instrumental in promoting efficient public service delivery through effective communication strategies.

In her acceptance speech, Kobi Hemaa expressed gratitude for the honour given to her, emphasizing the crucial role of communication in driving positive change within the public sector.

“This award is not just a personal achievement, but a recognition of the importance of communication in enhancing public service delivery, I am deeply grateful to the organizers for this honour and for acknowledging the vital role of communication in the public sector,” she stated.

She further expressed gratitude for the constant assistance and cooperation that her co-workers and other communication professionals have given her and reaffirmed her commitment to promoting effective communication within the public sector.

“It is through the combined strength of our collective efforts that we can dismantle outdated narratives and pave the way for a future brimming with potential,” she emphasized.

According to her, the goal of her commitment to collaborate closely with all parties involved is to advance the cause of efficient communication in the public sector.

 “I am committed to working closely with all stakeholders to advance the cause of effective communication in the public sector. This journey of service and innovation promises to be an exciting chapter that will undoubtedly continue to bridge the gap and empower positive change,” she said.

The award ceremony was organized by The Governance and Business Boardroom, a renowned networking organization dedicated to fostering connections among corporate governance and business leaders worldwide. With a track record of hosting successful events such as the National Governance and Business Leadership Awards and the Boardroom Renaissance Africa Conference.
