The Ghana-India Kofi Annan ICT Centre of Excellence (GI-KACE) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS) to collaborate to build capacity in ICT for Civil Service staff.
The MoU seeks to foster a long relationship that will allow GI-KACE to build capacity in Digital Literacy and Digital Skills for Civil Service Staff of the Ghana Civil Service
Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, the Director–General of GI-KACE, Dr Collins Yeboah-Afari, disclosed that the MoU would encourage OHCS to adopt the various e-Government solutions developed by the GI-KACE to promote the integration of ICT in the operation of the Ghana Civil Service.
“As part of our mandates, we at GI-KACE are poised to build capacity in ICT to contribute our quota to Ghana’s digitalisation agenda. Our various innovative ICT solutions are meant to solve everyday challenges in ICT,” Dr. Yeboah-Afari stated.
Nana Kwasi Agyekum-Dwamena, Head of the Civil Service (OHCS), encouraged both parties to make good use of the MoU to attain one common goal.
GI-KACE is Ghana’s first Advanced Information Technology Institute with a world-class research facility focusing on innovating products and services for individual and institutional advancement.
